Water, Hydration, and Sleep
Hardworking businessmen, career-driven women, and have proven to live a successful life with just a coffee in the morning and during lunch break. But why do they need to drug themselves with caffeine in the first place? It’s not because they need the extra energy, it's because they don't have the strength of an average healthy person, to begin with!
Most people solve dehydration by eating, mistaking that their thirst must be quenched with food. (Sounds weird to us too but it is more common than you think) It's difficult for them to drink 8 glasses of water and they view it as to much work. Their body adapts to thirstiness and causes them to become used to it.
When you start to drink more water, your body will adjust to the extra amount of water you are drinking and send signals to you causing you to want more water. Eventually, you will become used to getting thirsty and drink more.Â
Sleeping is when our body starts the regeneration process. Blood carrying nutrients travels the entire body sending "repairing nutrients". However, if we do not drink enough water the blood cells can become dehydrated and cause the blood cells to not carry oxygen and other nutrients as effectively.Â
It explains the morning lethargy most people are having when they wake up, and worse most people think it is because they need more sleep. There goes there whole morning with a useless 8 hours of sleep. Sleeping without water is like working out 8 hours without a water break.
Almost, about half of our energy is used by the digestive system while we are sleeping.
The digestive system demands water to process, and if we supply our body with enough water our body will digest foods faster and concentrate on getting better sleep. As a result, you will be more energized and focused in the mornings.
The third thing is water helps provide heat to the entire body. The more water you drink the easier it is for the body to regulate its temperature. Our body temperature is the internal switch that helps you go to sleep.
Low body temperature will make you feel sleepy, and high body temperature will do the opposite. Proper supply of water will make your body able to control temperature more efficiently, and you will feel sleepy at the appropriate time! It will greatly help you maintain an excellent sleep-wake cycle.
Increasing your water intake is one big step toward reducing inflammation in your bоdу. With this, you will probably be sleeping better anyways, and while better is good we want the best.
Firstly, try to figure out how much sleep your body needs. 8 hours is a good average, but some of us need 7 to wake up feeling refreshed and ready for the day. Some of us may need 9. Find out what your magic number is.
Water is life. Like our earth, our bodies are mostly 70 percent water. Your flowing blood and thinking brain each consists of 85 percent water. Muscles flex at 75 percent. Being wеll-hуdrаtеd with pure drinking water is crucial tо life and healthy sleep.
